She has a passion for studying form and movement, translating that into seemingly living, breathing characters,\u00a0and telling a story within the context of a picture. She&#8217;s also a pretty big fan of knitting, tea, and 80s music!<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Philadelphia&#8217;s own Moore College of Art and Design and its Illustration program, she now resides with her husband, and\u00a0an\u00a0elderly black cat in a charmingly run-down\u00a0bungalow in San Jose, CA where the tech jobs are plenty and their fruit trees fruit like there&#8217;s no tomorrow. Especially the damn persimmon tree.*<\/p>\n<p>Susan&#8217;s goal is to find her place in the children&#8217;s book world\u00a0and make lots of people happy with her drawings and stories.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*Fun Fact:\u00a0Susan had never even seen a persimmon, let alone known it was a real thing before moving to California.
